Utility Trailer Gets Premiere Spot at MATS

The 45th annual Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) was well attended, yet it had its fill of controversy. Attendance was down 8% from the previous year, but 74,937 people from 67 countries still walked the halls despite truck manufacturers and a few trailer manufacturers choosing not to attend in favor of making MATS a biennial event for them. Utility considers MATS to be an important venue, and this year they enjoyed being in a better location. “This prominent position in the South Wing of the Kentucky Expo Center,” said Larry Roland, Utility’s Director of Marketing. “This made it easy for people to find us and see what makes Utility the industry leader. We started conversations that we are confident will end up becoming positive business relationships. I understand why there is pressure by truck manufacturers to move MATS to a biennial schedule. However, we feel that attending MATS every year provides us a great place to strengthen relationships with our dealers and fleet customers.” Next year’s MATS will be held on March 23rd – March 25th.
