Congratulations to D&D Sexton’s Remy Braun

Former Army Veteran Named 2019 ATA Driver of the Year

Most people who take pride in their work don’t do it for awards, but because it’s the right thing to do. That is why it is good to pause and recognize Remy Braun of D&D Sexton, Inc., for being awarded the 2019 ATA Driver of the Year. “We applaud Remy for this recognition,” said Brett Olsen, Marketing Manager at Utility. “Remy has set a high standard that others in the industry should emulate.”

Remy has invested over 33 years in the trucking industry. From 1984-1992, while serving in the Army, Remy worked as a Motor Transport Operator. After his military service, he began his career in trucking and has driven for D&D Sexton, Inc. for 21 years, accumulating an impressive 2.8 million accident-free miles. “D&D Sexton, Inc. is an exceptional company,” said Estel Brackett, President of Ozark Utility in Springfield, MO. “And Remy is an example of the quality service they deliver to their customers. He has a 100% record for delivering all his loads 100% on time, and that is unsurpassed.”

Candidates are selected from a pool of Drivers of the Year submitted by state trucking associations. They are judged by a panel comprised of members from the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance and representatives from law enforcement organizations.
