Arkansas Recognizes Utility’s Manufacturing Plant

Paragould, Arkansas Earns Two Million Hour Safety Award

The State of Arkansas presented a group of employees at Utility’s Paragould manufacturing plant with a plaque recognizing their achievement of working for Two Million Hours Without a Lost Day Away from Work due to an injury. From July 6th, 2017 to June 19th, 2019, the dry van manufacturing plant’s 740-plus employees worked over 2.8 million hours without a lost-time incident. The plaque was presented in November by Ralph Hudson, Director of the Division of Labor, Arkansas Department of Labor & Licensing, and Paul Hansen, Division Head of the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission, Health and Safety Division.

“I’m proud of our team for creating a safe workplace,” said Sean Graddy, Utility’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager at Paragould. “Our continuously improving safety record over the past two decades demonstrates that our employees’ commitment to safety is deeply ingrained in our culture.”
