Putting the Community at the Center of Holiday Celebration

“Work Hard. Play Hard. Do Good.” is the motto at Craftsmen Utility Trailer, and “Doing Good” is lived out through Craftsmen Cares, a charitable foundation established by the Helmsing family through Craftsmen Utility Trailer.

“The inspiration to start Craftsmen Cares came 5 years ago, Craftsmen Cares came into being, and the entire Craftsmen family helps to direct resources to communities and organizations in need. “Team members

can donate to the foundation and Craftsmen will match donations dollar for dollar,” added Mr. Helmsing. “It’s more than money though. We have a committee that determines the organizations to support with our time, talents, and treasure.” With COVID, 2020 was a challenging year for a lot of people. Craftsmen Cares donated over $100,000 to more than 40 different charitable organizations, including The Urban League, a St. Louis area food bank, Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, HACAP Food Reservoir, and 8 other food banks in Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois. “Our team also decided to divert dollars dedicated to marketing to feeding people.”

Craftsmen also participated in Wreaths Across America, partnering with Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. to donate 2,000 wreaths that team members placed on the headstones at National Cemeteries in St. Louis, Rock Island, and Sikeston. “It’s been a privilege to team up with Utility to honor those who sacrificed their lives so we could enjoy our freedom.”
