Building value by working together
It’s the idea that when two or more people or organizations cooperate, the combined effect of what they produce is greater than what they could have produced alone.
Teamwork creates better, more enduring results than individual efforts, and this requires people to be in sync with each other. That’s why the theme of this year’s International Dealer Meeting was Sync’d for Success. This past April 10th – 14th, dealer parts managers and dealer principals gathered together at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas to discover more effective and profitable ways to have aftermarket parts impact a dealer’s business growth and success.
“Aftermarket parts is playing an increasing role in a dealer’s success,” said Steve Bennett, Vice President for Utility. “It is a growing source of revenue for our dealers, and it enables us to build relationships with existing and future trailer customers. We also gain insight into how our trailers and the parts that our suppliers provide are performing.”
Guest speakers from Hendrickson, Hydro, Dow, and Utility customer H.E.B. provided attendees with new insights into various technologies. Breakout sessions provided participants with tools to deliver better service to customers. At the Awards Dinner, several dealers were awarded Roundtable and Goal Buster awards. Utility Trailer Sales Southeast Texas walked away with the top aftermarket sales award.
A Dealer Meeting is incomplete without some time to unwind. Besides golf, attendees toured Natural Bridge Caverns and buckled up for a ride on a Canopy Zip Line. Some kayaked then took a brewery tour, while others took a “Best of San Antonio” city tour with visits to both the Alamo and Riverwalk. After a day to relax, attendees gathered together Friday evening for the popular Vendor Fair, to network and do business with 61 vendors and suppliers.
