Utility’s 3000R® reefer trailer features a unique 360° continuous foam-in-place process that fully insulates the entire trailer without foam voids.

This process has made Utility’s 3000R the #1 selling refrigerated trailer in North America since 1994. Utility’s Research & Development engineered this proprietary foam-in-place insulation process as a means to achieve the greatest thermal efficiency possible. Utility is the only trailer manufacturer to utilize this exclusive foam-in-place process.

The new Utility video visually demonstrates how the unique foam “mandrel” process high-pressure foam envelope that completely insulates the floor, walls and roof of the trailer. “This process is extremely important when manufacturing our reefers because it ensures that there are no voids and no panel joints to seal up later. This will guarantee that our customers’ trailers will achieve the best thermal efficiency resulting in lower maintenance costs for reefer units, and thus reducing fuel consumption,” said Jeff Bennett, Vice President of Engineering & Product Development.
